Sam Frost could learn a thing or two from Kaitlyn Bristowe
The US Bachelorette has been labelled the “ballsiest in history”
after her shock dating tactics on the latest series of the reality show.
The 30-year-old brunette, the leading lady of The Bachelorette season 11, opted to shake things up during this week’s episode by inviting villainous ex-Bachelor contestant Nick Viall to compete alongside her male suitors.
Her decision to rock the boat with the addition of a 15th Bachelor didn’t sit too well with the rest of the boys, mostly because, well, competition. But Viall, a 34-year-old software sales executive already made waves last year as the runner-up on Andi Dorfman’s season, when he famously exposed the pair’s sexual history during the “After the Rose” special.
Bristowe confirmed to the cameras that she began talking to Viall on Twitter and that the pair had formed a connection.
Understandably, the original gents are peeved, considering the Canadian beauty once uttered, “I believe my husband is in this room”, before inviting the man accused of “sl*t-shaming” on live TV to join the show.
But that’s not all Bristowe has been doing to stir the pot. In an early episode, she sent shock waves through the camp when she admitted on camera she had already slept with one of the guys. “I don’t think that’s a crazy thing, to sleep with somebody when you’re trying to be in a relationship with them,” she explained after copping backlash from viewers.
“I’m a 30-year-old woman and I make my own decisions and intimacy to me is a part of every relationship and I don’t know why everyone is so shocked by it. It’s 2015.
“I’m an in-the-moment kind of person ... I’m not ashamed of it.”
Already this season, US fans have fired up over a misleading promo, which suggested two of the male contestants were gay. Also, during the very first episode, a bloke was booted off the show after he got drunk at the cocktail party and made a rape joke.
With season one of The Bachelorette Australia being filmed in Sydney, we wonder if Sam Frost is taking notes on what NOT to do
