Manchester City loan teenager Thomas Agyepong to Twente Enschede

Twente Enschede have taken the teenage striker Thomas Agyepong from Manchester City on loan but will not be able to use him until next month because of injury.

The Dutch club announced the season-long loan deal for the 19-year-old, who captains Ghana’s junior national team, but a broken foot means Agyepong is not expected to be fit until September.
The deal keeps up the stream of young players loaned by the Dutch club from elsewhere in Europe. Twente have already taken the Nigerian striker Michael Olaitan from Olympiakos and Napoli’s Brazilian defender Bruno Uvini, who had a brief spell at Tottenham in 2012, on loan this summer.
Agyepong is considered one of the brightest emerging stars to have graduated from Ghana’s famous Right to Dream academy.
