No more tears: Van Persie meets crying Man Utd fan at Fenerbahce game

Fenerbahce and Robin van Persie turned a young Manchester United fan's frown upside down by flying him over to Istanbul to meet the star striker.

Louis Diamond became an internet hit this summer when his parents posted a video of him crying because the Dutchman was leaving Manchester United.

The video of the five-year-old sparked an online campaign from Fenerbahce fans to raise money and bring him to Istanbul to see a game.

The youngster was then invited over by the club's president, Aziz Yildirim, and he was able to take in their opening league game with Eskisehirspor, in which Van Persie came off the bench to play the final 27 minutes as they ran out 2-0 winners.

The youngster then met up with his hero afterwards and Van Persie shared the moment on social media.

"What a nice surprise! Louis Diamond came all the way from the UK to Istanbul to meet me and watch our match last night. Happy to see him smile now!" Van Persie posted on Instagram.
