The 33-year-old says he won't discuss a new contract
at present and has wished Bastian Schweinsteiger the best following his
move to Manchester United
The holding midfielder joined Bayern from Real Madrid in the summer of 2014 and has since developed into a key player for the Bundesliga champions.
Xabi Alonso's contract with FCB is due to expire in June 2016, though, and no decision on his future has been taken as of yet.
"My contract? We will see what happens. This is not the time to discuss this subject," Xabi Alonso said at a press conference.
The ex-Spain international then went on to discuss the departure of Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United earlier this month.
"Basti has been very important to Bayern for the past 10 years," he said.
"But he has made the decision to move on. That's his call and I can only wish him the best."
Xabi Alonso also had his say on Bayern's squad in general and is confident they have the depth to compete in several competitions.
"We have a very complete squad. We have two players for each position."
Bayern are currently on pre-season duties in China and will face Inter on Tuesday.
