The Dutchman, in the United States for the Red Devils' pre-season tour, was left hanging by a TV presenter prior to an interview and looked far from pleased by the brief snub

Louis van Gaal will hope that his Manchester United players have more luck finding the net next season than he has finding a hand to shake.

The notorious disciplinarian was about to conduct an interview with the club's official TV channel on Friday and went to greet the presenter with an outstretched hand.

But after being left hanging for several seconds, the strict Dutchman had to repeatedly poke his host to get his attention and finally shake hands, with Van Gaal looking less than impressed.
