Karl-Heinz Rummenigge warns Bayern Munich not to sell Thomas Müller

Bayern Munich would be “out of our minds” to sell the Manchester United target Thomas Müller, according to the German club’s chief executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Louis van Gaal would be keen to add the forward to his squad but, despite Müller being open to a move to Old Trafford, Rummenigge appeared to rule out his sale.
“There are some players who just don’t have any price tag,” he said. “We would be out of our minds to sell Müller.”
The 25-year-old is flattered by Van Gaal’s interest in taking him on a deal that would be worth £265,000 a week, around double what he earns with the German champions. Yet despite this and Müller’s uneven relationship with Pep Guardiola, who dropped him on occasion last season, the World Cup winner has been conscious of the club’s resistance to selling him.
Last week United bought Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern, one of the club’s leading players. This means it is difficult for the German champions to allow the sale of another.
Van Gaal remains hopeful of signing Barcelona’s Pedro to bolster his attacking options.
United play the Catalan club on Saturday in Santa Clara on their summer tour.
