Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke is confident summer arrivals Jackson Martinez and Luciano Vietto will settle quickly and make a big impact next season.Los Rojiblancos brought in the pair to boost their strikeforce ahead of the La Liga restart, with Martinez's €35 million move from Porto confirmed on Wednesday.
And Koke believes it will only be a matter of time before their new additions make their quality felt, and feels the renewed competition for places will benefit Atletico as they renew their search for silverware in the campaign ahead.
"He’s [Martinez] a great addition. He’s had some great seasons at Porto; big players are joining the club," the 23-year-old told AS. "Big players always leave and others come in but in the end we always have a good season.
"Vietto looks sharp. He still has to find his role in the team. Some of us have been here longer and we’re used to things, but gradually he’ll settle in and will be an important part of the team.
"At the end of the day the spine of the team always continues and those that come in will adapt."
The Spain international also revealed coach Diego Simeone's plans for him in the centre of the park as the side look to carry on without playmaker Arda Turan, who joined Barcelona after spending four seasons at Vicente Calderon.
"It’s true. We’ve only trained for a few days and the gaffer is trying me out there [as a central midfielder]," he continued.
"I want to help the team wherever necessary. If he wants to put me in the middle, out on the wing, or wherever he needs me I’ll give it everything to try and help the team.
"Some friends told me [about Arda's move to Barcelona]. It’s a shame he’s not continuing with us. I wish him all the best because Arda is a good friend of mine.
"I was on holiday and wasn’t even aware of it [Barcelona's interest]."
