Brazil's Souza set to join Fenerbahce

The midfielder has been confirmed as the latest new arrival in what is proving to be a very busy summer transfer window for the Turkish giants
Brazil international Souza is set to join Fenerbahce in a €8 million switch from Sao Paulo.
The 26-year-old midfielder was drafted into the Selecao squad following last year’s World Cup but failed to make coach Dunga’s squad for the Copa America.
On Thursday, Sao Paulo confirmed that the player would miss their next league clash after they agreed his sale to the Turkish giants pending medical clearance.
“Souza will not play against Atletico-PR as he is negotiating an €8 million move Turkish side Fenerbahce,” the club announced on Twitter.
Souza is just the latest addition to the club’s summer spending spree following the appointment of new coach Vítor Pereira from Olympiakos.
Portugal ace Nani will arrive in Istanbul on Sunday to complete his proposed move from Manchester United, while Denmark defender Simon Kjaer was acquired from Lille earlier this month.
Fernandao has joined on a four-year deal from Atletico Paranaense, after the striker finished as the Turkish Super League’s top scorer last season by bagging 22 goals during his loan spell at Bursaspor - who have also lost tight-back Sener Ozbayrakli to Fenerbahce.
Fener have also brought in goalkeeper Fabiano and defender Abdoulaye Ba, both of whom arrive on loan from Pereira’s former club Porto.
