Rossi: I felt like Pele in 'Escape to Victory'

The Italy international has been out of action since last August with another serious knee injury but recently featured in an exhibition game in New York
Giuseppe Rossi says he is fully fit again, with the injury-plagued Fiorentina forward revealing how he felt like Pele in 'Escape to Victory' during a recent exhibition game.
The Italy international has been out of action since August after damaging ligaments in his right knee for the fourth time in three years.
There were doubts whether Rossi would ever return but the American-born striker is now looking forward to the new season.
"In a game I played in New York with [retired NBA star] Steve Nash, I scored an overhead kick," Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I felt like Pele in the film 'Escape to Victory'! It was truly magical.
"I'm fine now. I've trained so much. I hope for a great season, both for me and the team."
Brazil legend Pele was one of several footballing superstars to appear in the Sylvestor Stallone film 'Escape to Victory', which was released in 1981 and also featured England icon Bobby Moore and Argentine World Cup winner Ossie Ardiles.
Pele scores a famous overhead kick during a match between the inmates of a German prisoner of war camp and the guards.
