Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Heribert Bruchhagen has confirmed shot stopper Kevin Trapp is on the brink of signing with Paris Saint-Germain,The 24-year-old, who is a former Germany Under-21 international, has been linked with a €9 million move to the French champions for several days and is expected to provide competition for Salvatore Sirigu.
“We have found an accord in principle with PSG,” Bruchhagen told RMC. “We are still waiting on some administrative documents, but there is a deal in place.
“Kevin is expected in Paris tomorrow to undergo his medical.”
PSG are expected to be one of the chief benefactors of Uefa’s decision to ease their Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, which they hailed as “fair and constructive”.
Previously, they had been restricted to a net spend of €60m this summer but the Parc des Princes club are now expected to make several more moves in the market, with Miralem Pjanic, Pedro and Angel Di Maria all associated with potential transfers.
